6'6", Small Forward
Evansville (Reitz)
Event: Prep Ball Stars Combine
September 26, 2020
When he is engaged, he can make plays, and today he was engaged during the game sessions. (Didn't see the drill work)

Dease shot the ball well, and his mechanics are smooth. He was active on the glass on both ends. He really just needs to rebound his position well.
6'6", Small Forward
Lafayette (Jefferson)
Event: Battle of the Brands
August 8, 2020
He was cooking early vs Indy Heat, but he cooled off as the game progressed. The lasting impression is how effective he is getting into the paint. Great coverage with each dribble and strength to ward off defenders. Good first step, enhanced by tremendous range.

Truly needs to improve defensively. A lot of zone at Jeff, and he spends most of that time standing up or trying time passes. Physically, he seems capable, but it will be an adjustment.

Fort Wayne (Homestead)
Event: Battle of the Brands
August 8, 2020
Rare to see him struggle to shoot, but this was one of those games. Nothing to worry about though on that end. It would be nice to see him attack closeouts better though.
6'7", Small Forward
South Bend (St. Joseph)
Event: Battle of the Brands
August 8, 2020
Continues to impress with his game off the dribble vs high caliber defenders. Still has room for physical development, which only underscores his ceiling.

Guarded athletic wings well, contesting shots. Active on the offensive glass.
6'4", Small Forward
Fort Wayne (Northrop)
Event: Battle of the Brands
August 8, 2020
Battles defensively, but still not sure what his definable skill is on offense. He's great when he's active, getting to the offensive glass, but he's not suited for the isolation type catches he's getting, unless he can just blow by his defender.
6'7", Small Forward
Lowell
Event: NY2LA Grassroots Showdown
August 6-9, 2020
Did a lot of damage in the post early as he recognized when he had a mismatch on him. This helped him stretch his game out to the perimeter where he was able to knock down some shots.
When he put the ball on the floor and was able to get around his defender he'd finish.
Showed he could rebound and get out in transition and either hit a pull up 3 or finish at the rim.
Uses length well as he had a couple blocks on D and deflections in passing lanes.
Event: The Region vs Illinois
August 5, 2020
With his length and gaining strength, Mantis was able to overcome a subpar shooting performance from the perimeter. He had a few tip-ins and a few post-ups. Along with Harold Woods, one of the more aggressive on the offensive boards for the Region team.

He's definitely a SF defensively or very much a system defender. Smaller, quicker guards are hard for him (they're hard for everyone). However, he's a willing defender, who will get better with added strength.

Hammond (Central)
Event: The Region vs Illinois
August 5, 2020
Woods' skill development from the winter is apparent. While he still looks to get downhill, he showed 3pt range, and his shot mechanics looked good at the FT line.

All other viewings were on video from school season.

Has a chance to be a lockdown caliber defender.

Roachdale (North Putnam)
Event: Grand Park Invitational
August 1-2, 2020
Good shooter, 3pt range, when he gets the space. His release needs to get quicker. Willing defender and rebounds his position.
6'5", Small Forward
South Bend (St. Joseph)
Event: Grand Park Invitational
August 1-2, 2020
Not many touches in games seen this weekend. Normally a good shooter and didn't see anything to change that.
6'4", Small Forward
Fort Wayne (Northrop)
Event: Grand Park Invitational
August 1-2, 2020
His defense is still ahead of his offense, but his skillset is improving. Still very springy, and I wonder at times if he wouldn't be a tough cover at a level where he's a small ball 4 in some lineups.
6'6", Small Forward
Lafayette (Jefferson)
Event: Terrific 24
July 17-19, 2020
Very strong wing, who possesses limitless range, and while his handle is high, he can operate as a primary ball handler vs certain matchups.

Very much a work in progress defensively. HS team plays a lot of zone, some 1-3-1, and it shows. Lots of lifting and jumping for ball fakes. Correctable for sure.
6'3", Small Forward
LaGrange (Lakeland)
Event: GR Brawl for the Ball
July 17-19, 2020
Uses size to rebound and get to the basket. Can put the ball on the deck, but prefers to shoot. Can score in bunches. Good at finding his spots. Shooter.
6'3", Small Forward
Fort Wayne (Blackhawk Christian)
Event: GR Brawl for the Ball
July 17-19, 2020
Great range, can pull up from anywhere. Isn't afraid to attack the basket. Will finish at the rim. Has gotten stronger. Very solid defender.
6'6", Small Forward
Sellersburg (Silver Creek)
Event: Terrific 24
July 17-19, 2020
Jacobi has a well rounded and versatile game on both ends. He found teammates in the half court, and he just as easily finished on his own. He didn't force anything.

He has a hard time getting through screens, but it's because he has a high center of gravity. Versatile defender in all other aspects and a terrific rebounder.
