There are many afternoon games on Saturday.  We'll note the time if it's not a normal 7:00pm-8:00pm start.  All noted times are EST.

Chesterton (16-3) at Hammond (13-1) - 5:30pm

Another great Region contest.  Grayson handling the top and/or middle of Hammond's pressure is the start of it, making them pay on the back end is the other.  Keeping Hammond off the offensive glass is vital.  Chesterton will look to gum up the paint and force Hammond to make shots.

This will be about possessions.  Can Hammond get extra possessions via turnovers and the offensive glass.

  • Chesterton
    • Travis Grayson, 5'10" junior guard
    • Chris Mullen, 6'4" junior forward
    • Tyler Vanderwoude, 6'4" senior forward
  • Hammond
    • Darrell Reed, 6'7" senior forward
    • Harold Woods, 6'3" senior guard
    • Reggie Abram, 5'8" senior guard
    • Jordan Woods, 6'0" sophomore guard

Floyd Central (12-4) at Lawrence North (19-2) - 4:30pm

Floyd Central walked out of LN two years with a two point win.  They're going to need to limit turnovers and get big games from Heidbreder and Washington.

    • Caleb Washington, 6'4" sophomore forward
    • Kevin Woodruff, 6'3" senior forward

    • CJ Gunn, 6'5" junior guard

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (18-3) at Crispus Attucks (16-4) - 2:30pm

Attucks can throw a ton of guards at Blackhawk and have the size to combat with Furst down low.  If Attucks can force the ball into non-ball handler's hands, they can score in spurts.  Carson has to stay out of foul trouble.

  • Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian
    • Caleb Furst, 6'9" senior center
    • Zane Burke, 6'2" senior guard
    • Marcus Davidson, 6'0" senior guard

Greensburg (14-2) at South Ripley (17-1)

The last decade Greensburg has dominated at the area, especially in the non-4A market.  Last year South Decatur took a crack at them.  This year it's South Ripley.  Greensburg keeps chugging along.  This would be a signature win for South Ripley.

    • Colin Comer, 6'4" junior guard
    • Dakota Walters, 6'2" junior forward

Greenwood (13-4) at Mt. Vernon (13-4)

Greenwood enters the weekend on a two game losing streak with Mooresville Friday night at Mt. Vernon tonight.  Both offer different sets of challenge.  Despite their record, Mt. Vernon is still a bit of an enigma, a couple of surprising wins, a couple of surprising losses.

  • Greenwood
    • Rasheed Elemikan, 6'5" senior forward
    • Brock Kincaid, 6'2" junior guard

    • Gabe McNary, 6'8" senior center
    • Donald Coats, 6'6" senior wing

Plainfield (18-1) at Silver Creek (14-4)

This will be a signature win for Plainfield as some of the bigger wins on their schedule are vs. teams which have kind of underachieved.  Silver Creek is not among that.  If there is a team that can match the Creek's length, it's Plainfield.

  • Plainfield
    • Ian Scott, 6'7" senior center
    • Aiden Booher, 6'4" senior wing
    • Cael Vanderbush, 6'6" junior wing
