Home Game Center Game CenterGame Takes Weekend Warriors — 12/15-12/16 By Zak T - December 18, 2023 FacebookTwitterReddIt Caught 4 games over the weekend and saw some solid players. Below are some of my top weekend warriors. St Joe @ Riley Concordia vs St Joe Washington vs Warsaw Manchester vs Blackhawk 6'4 Soph - Nick Shrewsberry - St Joe Shrewsberry was on both ends of the spectrum this weekend. He didn't score at all Friday night, but was able to fill it up Saturday as he was 5/6 from 3. This is his current strength and he should continue to improve his consistency, as he is only a sophomore. Quicker release and when he's set he will bury his shots. The rest of his game should continue to come as this season progresses. Definitely one to watch moving forward. 6'1 Senior - Manny Hill - Riley Manny is a sneaky athletic player who can do a little bit of everything well. Defends, rebounds, and makes the right plays. Very capable passer who fills the stat sheet. Loves getting downhill and finishing at the rim, but can also pull up and hit the 3. Would be a nice get at the next level. 6'3 Junior - Robbie Finlinson - Warsaw Robbie went to work in this one. Finished with 22 & 9 while hitting 6 threes and really showed off his shooting ability. Hit a couple nice jumpers also. Stood out to me with the way he led and showed he wasn't going to back down no matter who was guarding him as he's able to shoot over defenders. Rebounding was a surprise but showed he can be active on the glass. Look forward to seeing him again soon. 6'6 Junior - Gavin Betten - Manchester Gavin is a name most know by now. Smooth lefty who can get it done in the paint. Loves to work over his right shoulder when he catches in the post and does it well. Handles the ball well enough for his size that he brings it up occasionally, or can run the break. Has improved his outside shooting to where defenders have to step out on him, at which point he can drive by them and get to the rim. Excellent rebounder and shot blocker with his long arms. Very underrated passer as well as he doesn't force his shots and looks for open teammates. Had a little trouble scoring in this one against the bigger Kellen Pickett but was still solid. Look forward to seeing his continued development. 6'9 Junior - Kellen Pickett - Blackhawk Kellen is destined to be a Junior All Star. He's tall, athletic, and is really active off the ball. Had a really nice alley-oop dunk off the glass. Even showed a little outside shooting as he knocked down 2 threes. His shot will continue to improve from outside. Paint protector and strong rebounder. Uses his length to his advantage on offense and defense. Able to finish in the paint over and even through defenders. Tons of upside from the FW product. 5'10 Senior - Aiden Muldoon - Blackhawk Swiss Army Knife of a point guard. True pass first player that is very unselfish and get teammates involved. Floor general. Rebounds position extremely well, especially for his size. Just an outstanding knack for finding the ball. Shoots it enough defenders have to respect him from outside. Excellent at penetrating and kicking out to shooters. Just a bulldog. Honorable Mention (Guys to keep an eye on) 6'1 Junior - Brashaun Woods - St Joe 6'2 Freshman - Elijah King - St Joe 5'9 Junior - Marvin Schindler - Riley 6'4 Senior - Ayden Kent - Riley 6'3 Junior - Luke Bricker - Warsaw 5'10 Freshman - Da'Kori Parker - Washington 6'5 Sophomore - Steven Reynolds - Washington 6'5 Senior - Isaac Smith - Blackhawk 6'3 Junior - Bryce Sefton - Blackhawk RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Game Takes: Fishers 74, Noblesville 40 Game Take: Ben Davis 56, Zionsville 45 Game Previews: Saturday, November 30
