Just a 8 of the uncommitted players who made an impression on me over the last week!

  • Grant Porath - 6'2" Guard - 2024 Brownsburg - One of my favorite guards to watch. Was in total control all game against Kokomo. Played with composure and confidence on both ends. Kind of guy you'd love to lead your squad. Great first step. Sweet and smooth lefty shot, but is not totally dependent on going to the left. Knocked down a couple of nice 3s, and also had a nice finish at the basket where he took it right to Bidunga's chest and scooped it in. Hit all 4 of his FTs also. Very solid guard for colleges to start getting eyes on.
  • Robert Sorensen - 6" Guard - 2024 Guerin Catholic - Another hard-nosed guard who battled against Riley. Got all of his 11 points at the rim or from the line. Solid handles and strong enough to play through contact. Good all around game but size can be an issue for what he likes to do. Would like to see more of him for sure. Defensively plays well and can sit down and defend.
  • Bryson Cardinal - 6'5" Forward - 2025 Guerin Catholic - Stood out immediately when he entered the contest against Riley. Has the basketball pedigree as he is the son of Purdue great Brian Cardinal. Good size and will continue to get stronger. Knack for being in the right place for rebounds and has long arms to help. Can elevate well also. Footwork is there and showed some nice moves in the post. Also stepped out and hit a 3 so showed some range. Definitely a sophomore to keep on radars.
  • Malachi King - 6'4" Forward - 2025 Harrison (Lafayette) - Another sophomore who stood out was King. Played well in the contest against Portage. Used his length to his advantage defensively getting rebounds and creating deflections. Got up and down the floor well and did his damage inside the arc. Was the second best player on the floor for Harrison. Tons of upside here.
  • Michael Wellman - 6'5" Guard/Forward - 2025 Portage - Really good size/body who can handle the ball. Hit some shots from outside. Wasn't his best game but still contributed and did some things well. Always rebounds and plays hard. Can defend a few positions and has been a leader for this Portage team. Continue to monitor.
  • Garrett Clark - 6'3" Guard - 2025 Portage - Another good sophomore on this Indians team. Above average passer and also rebounds position well. Solid handles and can shoot it from outside. Gets his shot off quick and with his size can get it off over defenders, and with some range. Is able to create his own shot and get separation. This Portage team is definitely one to watch going forward.
  • Marcus Northern - 6'1" Guard - 2023 Washington - Marcus was doing Marcus things in this one. Totally controlled the Panthers offensively. When he was out in the first half with foul trouble Washington struggled to score. When he was back in in the second half he did his thing. Got to the basket and even knocked down a 3. Would like to see a little less hesitation from him from outside going forward. Loves to get downhill in transition and will finish almost every time. Has some NAIAs and a JUCO on him currently.
  • Steven Reynolds - 6'4" Guard/Forward - 2026 Washington - Played closer in this one as he had 9 of his 11 in the fourth quarter. Was getting his looks most of the game just because of the elevation he has on his jumper, but wasn't able to get anything to fall. Showed patience and resilience as a freshman. Didn't back down and continues to show why he's one of the top 2026s in the state.
