Norwell had the lead most of the game until late in the fourth. A big fourth quarter by Jaxon Pardon for Carroll and a late tip-in from Jaiyre Sampson helped propel Carroll to a victory. Carroll only won 2 games last year and is already on the board with a win over a really good Norwell team. Norwell is a top 10 team in 3A and will have a lot of success this year. Carroll has a tough schedule but they certainly look like they could be one of the most improved teams in the state.

  • Carroll's junior guard Jaxon Pardon really came alive in the 4th quarter in this one. Pardon hit 3 3's and a layup for 11 points in the 4th. Pardon ended with 21 points. He showed the ability to hit contested threes, get by his man on closeouts, and finish at the rim from tough angles.
  • Junior Cannen Houser for Carroll had a solid game in this one as well. Big time shooter but shows the ability to get by his defender and pull up or finish at the rim.
  • Senior Luke McBribe for Norwell was the best player on the floor tonight. Really tough player. True three-level scorer at the high school level. Love his shooting ability and he is able to finish in the paint with BOTH hands.
  • Norwell is really balanced and will get production from multiple players throughout the year besides McBride. This particular game it was Lleyton Bailey. Bailey had 16 points and was able to knock down some shots from the perimeter.
