Good quality big men come at a premium. Landen fits the bill if you are looking for one with a great body, size, and who has a high ceiling. He rebounds well on both ends, and prides himself on his defense. I also love how he runs the floor and will get out in transition.
In his sophomore season he averaged 11 points (60%), 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks a game, and shot 72% from the line. Look for him to take on a larger role in his junior season and for those numbers to continue to improve.
This summer he has added a little outside shooting to his game, which is something you like to see in someone looking to improve and expand on their game. He also continues to develop his post play.
Landen could develop into a dominate inside-out player.
Currently Landen has spoken with a lot of mid-majors, and a couple D2 and D3 schools. He also has a couple of high-majors keeping tabs on him. He has spoken with Belmont and Appalachian State the most.

Watching his game development from the start of the school season through late summer, has mostly been about seeing him be more aggressive with the basketball. Playing alongside three other D1 caliber teammates at Lawrence North -- Tony Perkins ('20, Iowa, Indiana all-star) and DJ Hughes ('21, Butler) and Shamarr Avance ('21) -- Gunn was often the fourth option, and he often assumed the role of spacer and shooter.
As Gunn is showing more he's a scorer, his in game play really started to pop, catching up to the physical tools and developing skill set. He's starting show an aggressive disposition with the ball, capable of taking over stretches of play in a game. What's left might be coming off a screen and elevating in his shot on the catch.
Gunn takes the defensive side of the floor seriously too. A plus-ball defender with the requisite awareness off the ball, he has the tools to lockdown his opposition. The last step for him will be rebounding his position on both ends. Playing alongside Hughes and Perkins, both outstanding rebounders, on the offensive end, Gunn didn't have to do much board work. He'll need to grab some of those Perkins is leaving behind.
Already a strength, as his shooting improves, he could end up being among the most offensively complete players LN has graduated, and that's saying quite a bit. He just has to remain aggressive with the ball.
