At the close of the 1st Rock Creek held a 2 point lead at 17-15.  It looked as if was going to be a battle to the end but Rock Creeks size underneath was to much for Trinity Lutheran to over come.  Trinity Lutheran had it as close 4 in the 3rd but Rock Creek went on a 10 run to end the quarter at 54-41.

  • Trinity Lutheran Senior Tyler Goecker put the team on his shoulders today.  He was vey effective getting to the rim and drawing fouls. 15 of his game high 27 came from the charity stripe.
  • Trinity Lutheran Sophomore Hudson Norton added a quite 11.  He was hampered by foul trouble.  He has good size at 6'2" and moves well.  Look for his game to continue to improve.
  • Rock Creek 6'7" Sophomore Jaleb Treat was a beast in the paint.  His size, I'm guessing 300, and height made him nearly unstoppable.  He has decent foot work coupled with a nice touch at the rim.  His game will continue to grow.
  • Rock Creek Sophomore Ashton Mozee had a nice outing.  He has a nice stroke from behind the arc.  He knocked down a couple of 3s and 2 free throws for 8 points.  It was his effort on the defensive end that stuck out to me.  He had great court awareness and understood when and where he was supposed to be.
