Home Game Center Game CenterGame Takes Game Takes: Oak Hill 78, Tipton 63 By Jim R - February 16, 2022 FacebookTwitterReddIt An uptempo game from the start, a tight game early, a Tipton run had them up 21-11, but Oak Hill cut it to two before the end of the first. The Eagles took a five point lead into halftime, a tough final minute of the half for Tipton. The second half was all Oak Hill. The big names delivered for each team. Landon Biegel finished with 32 points for Oak Hill, showed off his range, drove close outs and was a presence on the offensive glass, all while dishing out 4 or 5 assists. Tipton sophomore Nolan Swan was more productive in the first half than the second, but the 6'0" point guard finished with 24 points. Excellent shot mechanics and a pretty quick release, he shot it well off the pass and was able to get into shots off the dribble. Excellent passer! As much attention as Biegel soaks up for Oak Hill, Caleb Krull got off to a hot start keeping Oak Hill in the game. Krull moved well without the ball, getting open in the paint. Ty Fagan, 6'7" sophomore center, pulled his first start of the season for Oak Hill. He scored their first six points, was active on the glass and came away with a couple of loose balls. While I'm sure he'll feel he could've played better, Tipton's Grady Carpenter put on a passing show, especially in transition. The 6'4" freshman serves as Tipton's point guard, and his eyes are always scanning the floor. Attacking diagonally in transition, hitting a rim run or two. He was equally effective in the half court. He was able to get free for a couple of 3's, and his shot mechanics looked good. The kid has a chance.
