Chandler Jackson, 6'6" small forward; Indianapolis (Warren Central)

  • Excellent catch/shoot shooter, with a quick release.  Improved vs closeouts, both shooting over them and driving them.
  • Haven't seen much shot creation up to this point.  He is unselfish, just more along the lines he's moving it quickly if he doesn't have a clear lane.
    • Would like to see what he can do off ball screens.
  • At the HS level, he's a willing defender who guards 2-4.  Primarily best suited at the wing.
  • Hard to tell on his rebounding.  So much of what he does offensively is designed to create space with a lot of time in the corners.  Needs to rebound on the defensive end better out of his area (long rebounds and such).
  • No reported offers.  D2's need to take a look for sure.  - JR

Kaleo Kakalia, 6'6" power forward; Mishawaka (Marian)

  • Motor, motor, motor. If you are in need of a solid forward who doesn't stop on either end, then Kaleo is your guy. Goes all out all the time. High-end shot blocker who helps protect the rim.
  • Kaleo has a knack for finding rebounds. He works the glass well, and is able to bring the ball up the floor when he grabs defensive boards. Does a nice job of cleaning up the offensive glass as well.
  • Runs the court well and puts himself in good spots to help his team. Very good cutter, and has good court vision. Heady player who makes the right plays.
  • Improving shooter and improving range. Typically solid from 15 feet and in, but has shown some flashes from the perimeter.
  • No reported offers.  Visits set up for Air Force and VMI, as well as Adrian. - ZT

Nick Klaiber, 6'2" point guard; Bloomington (North)

  • Strong body, helps protect as he penetrates, and while are the times the ball sticks with him, it's typically him finding a teammate.  Unselfish passer.
  • Can score.  Hits open shots, and most of his 3pt shots are off the pass.
    • Strength is also an aid in finishing.  Below the rim, but finishes with contact.
  • Outstanding in transition, and the ball definitely doesn't stick with him then.
  • Can guard multiple positions, and he definitely maximizes his recruiting at the level where he can be a +defender on opposing point guards.
  • No reported offers at this time.  Klaiber was injured much of the summer. - JR

JJ Louden, 6'5" shooting guard; Indianapolis (Crispus Attucks)

  • One of the best defenders in the class of 2022, can guard 1-3 at a high level, and wouldn't hurt any team on a switch or rotation on most 4s.
    • His length and lateral quickness are definitely part of the plus factor.
  • Can play with or without the ball.  His best shot creation is as a secondary ball handler off the wing, but he can initiate the offense and create on the second catch.
  • Improving shooter.  There are times he defers too much on offense.  Strong and quick, he does finish well when he gets to the rim.  He's typically hunting the next pass off penetration.
  • Rebounds his position well and quickly turns defense into offense with steals and grab and go off the glass.
  • OFFERS:  Canisius, IUPUI.  He's a HM defender, with some questions as to what position is he.  As a willing passer and someone who be a primary ball handler, he's a definite MM. - JR

Ethan Oakley, 6'8" center; Ramsey (North Harrison)

  • Production should go way up this year in the wake of Langdon Hatton (William & Mary).  Even playing together, most of the offense was split between Hatton and the perimeters.
  • Oakley has great hands and feet, while he would need to improve his body for college, he has tools inside and out to utilize.
    • He will need to show more laterally defensively.
  • North Harrison will get a lot of scoring out of the perimeter duo of Logan McIntyre (Evansville) and Kaleb Kellems, but much of it will be run through Oakley is June is any indication.
    • Oakley was very involved in DHO's and on ball screen action, he even served as the ball handler -- called from the bench.
  • Excellent rebounder on the defensive end.  Strong body who understands positioning well.
  • No reported offers.  Oakley has battled all the way back from a knee injury.  Look for Oakley to have a big year, and look for North Harrison to not have any drop-off from last year.
