Game 1 Saturday was definitely interesting. It came with plenty of action on the offensive end for Michigan City, as well as a running clock for the entire second half. Senior guard Jamie Hodges had his arsenal on full display.

2023 Jamie Hodges - 5'10" Guard - Michigan City

  • In a week that saw Hodges drop 50, 30, and 33, he definitely has showed he can score the basketball. And this is something I feel like has never been in question. Can score easily from all 3 levels and has some real range from 3. Superb at getting to the rim and is capable of finishing over/around defenders as well as playing through contact. Just moves with ease when the ball is in his hands. Plays unselfish as well. Would love to see what he can do next year if someone gives him the opportunity.

2023 Briton Franklin - 6'2" Guard - Michigan City

  • High flyer who filled it up in this one complete with a 360 dunk. Had 23 and made it look easy. Everything from him was around the rim and attacking the paint. Relentless defender as well. Could definitely help a program at the next level.

2024 Matthew King - 6'3" Guard - Hammond Central

  • Deadly from 3, King is an athletic guard who can also attack the rim and finish. Went 9/10 from the stripe and made some big FTs down the stretch. Great on the break and also in the half court. Coaches looking for a knock down shooter, King is a good place to start.

2024 Justin Sims - 6'6" Forward - Chesterton

  • The Junior did most of his damage from the line in this one, going 13/16 and finishing with 20 points 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Works hard for post position and has gotten stronger as well. Hands are good as well as his feet. Makes quick decisions with the ball either to the basket or kicking back out which helps keep the defense on their toes. Did knock down a 3 also so he can be a threat from outside. Improving on the dribble drive from the perimeter, and is excellent in transition. Very capable shot blocker as well. Continues to impress.

2024 Tyler Parrish - 6'3" Guard - Chesterton

  • Saw some dog in him in this one, as well as some swagger. Loved gettin after it on D, and has accepted the challenge of being the man this year for the Trojans. Great leader who didn't back down. Solid at getting teammates involved and ran the offense efficiently. Capable outside shooter who was able to slice and dice his way through the D to finish at the rim on both sides. Knack for finishing over/through/around contact with his soft touch. 7/8 from the line as well. Rebounds position well. Big things ahead for the junior.
