Fun game that didn't disappoint. Early on in this one the Legends looked to be in complete control as they were up 13 at the half. Northridge didn't quit though and the game was all tied up after three. Flow was fast paced throughout with some big plays by Mason Bales and Alex Ellenson down the stretch.

  • Alex Ellenson - 6'8 - 2023 Northridge -- Alex is a kid who was strictly JV all of his junior year and has developed into a senior who not only starts but contributes in a major way. Alex will bulk up with time, but showed strength and finishing ability in this one. Took him until the end of second quarter to get going, but once he did, North didn't have an answer. Capable shot blocker. Mid range is improved, and he can shoot it outside some but would like to see more to go with his growing post game. Solid in transition and can handle the ball when needed on the break. Good D3/NAIA prospect.
  • Nolan Bales - 6'1 - 2023 Northridge -- Coaches kid who plays hard and can defend well. Not afraid to take the charge. Can shoot it well also and knock down FTs. Was 6/6 to close the game. Exceptional passer who can handle the ball. Runs the offense well when called upon. Great D3 prospect as he has Trine and Wabash interest.
  • Mason Bales - 6'2 - 2025 Northridge -- Brother of Nolan. Excellent lefty shooter. Also plays hard and defends well. Can get to the basket with either hand and showed he isn't totally dependent on his left. Rebounds positions well and is also a solid defender. Finisher. Definitely has a high ceiling. Like his game at the guard position a lot.
  • Jaxson Fugate - 6'5 - 2024 FW North -- Garrett transfer, Jaxson showed his shooting ability early as he knocked down 2 threes in the first quarter. After dunk in the second quarter in transition his feet swung out from him and he landed awkwardly on his hand/wrist. That was the last he saw the court in this one, and it hurt North. Gave them one less scorer on the floor. Need to see more of him but is someone to watch moving foward.
  • Eugene Young Jr - 6'5 - 2024 FW North -- Pike transfer, Young did a lot of damage around the basket. Finished with 17 and 7, he's strong at the rim and finished. Uses his length well and can elevate to shoot over defenders. Rebounds extremely well. Length helps defending also as he can block shots and create steals with deflections. Hard worker. Didn't see any outside shooting in this one but if he had that in his arsenal look out. Like his upside.
