The Panthers led from start to finish in this one, although the Archers did keep things interesting for most of the game. They were just unable to get over the hump as senior heavy Washington wouldn't let that happen. Circle that Washington @ Penn game on February 10.

  • 6'2 Senior Marcus Northern had himself a game. Was in attack mode all four quarters. Scored in transition, getting to the rim, hitting a couple jumpers, and even knocking down a couple 3s. Really showed that he can play at the next level in my opinion. Works so hard on both ends and the motor is there. When he's able to get downhill it's over. Finished with 27 points and 5 rebounds.
  • Freshman guard Steven Reynolds is one who college coaches will be talking about regularly at some point this season. Shot looks really smooth and elevates well for it. Knocked down 3 early and was quiet on the offensive end for the rest of the game, while also being in foul trouble. Defends well and passes well. Puts himself in good position to rebound. Doesn't have to do too much right now as the Panthers are really senior heavy, but he'll have his moments and games this season for sure.
  • Seniors Eric Nocentelli, Jason Dockery, and Terrence Reid all did their thing in this one. Nocentelli bulldogs his way to the basket and can finish with his strength. Dockery does the same and can get to the line whenever he wants to. Reid had a handful of steals and is terror on the defensive end of the floor. All 3 should be looked at by D3 coaches.
  • FW South 6'3" senior Omarion Washington did all he could to keep the Archers in this one. Flashed some athleticism and shot making ability. I was impressed with his composure and leadership. Had 24 in this one. Rebounds position well and has good vision to find the open teammate as well. Worked hard for everything and was solid defensively.
  • Freshman Zac Belcher definitely looks the part. At 6'6" he's long and lanky but didn't get pushed around. Had 5 early blocks as well as 6 points before getting in foul trouble hunting more blocks and spending time on the bench. Definitely a player to keep an eye on. Hands and body will get stronger so the rebounding potential is there. Will be higher on lists going forward.
