A 13-3 second quarter saw Carmel stretch a three point 1st quarter lead to a 26-13 spread at halftime.  Their lead only grew from there.

  • Brian Waddell was outstanding for Carmel tonight.  The skilled 6'7" wing is a willing defender and rebounds his position.  While being a consistent 3pt shooter, his best asset is his movement without the basketball.
  • Carmel's ball movement is its own offensive weapon, and tonight Peter Suder and Conner Goia both had 5 assists.
    • Suder was more aggressive with the ball tonight, and the progression of his jump shot continues.
  • Carmel at their "worst" defensively, rarely has a rotation with a player who isn't a willing defender, and they have four defenders who are +defenders with a couple of lockdown defenders.  Suder and Josh Whack are lockdown caliber defenders, while Goia is a +defender from the PG spot.  Off the bench is Ben Frische, 6'4" senior forward, as well as Britt Beery, another 6'4" senior forward.
  • Carmel's Charlie Williams struggled with foul trouble this evening.  The 6'9" junior center has yet to get on track this season.  He'll have his own gravity in games when he's going well.
  • Noblesville plays two sophomores and a freshman consistent minutes - Preston Roberts, 6'4" sophomore guard; Luke Almadovar, 6'2" sophomore guard; Aaron Fine, 6'1" freashman guard.  They also have Samson Dickens, 6'2" freshman guard.
