Cathedral (9-1) at Carmel (10-0)

No rest for the weary for either team.  The other side of this, never a dull moment.  According to stats on John Harrell’s site, Cathedral, 10th in offense, at 75.8 points per game, Carmel, 12th in defense, 40.6 points per game, both have an average point spread around +15 points per game.

Keys to look forward to:  Cathedral’s perimeter shooting.  Vs. Brebeuf, it was the main aspect of their early 19 point lead.  Carmel, should Cathedral extend their defense, has to make them pay on the backside.  Long been willing to turn an opponent’s defense into their offense, Carmel has options to get that done.

Marion County Tournament (quarterfinals)

Lawrence North (10-0) at Lawrence Central (7-5)

The battle of Lawrence Township...part two.  LN won the regular season game by 5.  LC promptly went on a five game winning streak.  They’ve cooled down a bit, but they are playing much better basketball since starting the season 1-3.

Ben Davis (4-6) at Southport (1-6)

Two teams dealing with roster issues.  Ben Davis’ comeback win over Beech Grove went to the final buzzer.  One key for Southport will be the availability of Dancler.  Coming back from an ACL injury, when he’s played, he’s not played on back to back nights.

Lutheran (9-2) at Warren Central (4-3)

It’s been since the 2008 season that Lutheran has had a start like this.  They took that season all the way to Banker’s Life.

They have a regularly scheduled game on Friday, so I’m not sure what they thought about their chances coming into the MCT this year.  ?
