11:00 AM Norwell (7-1) vs. Columbus North (7-1)
Norwell didn't have problems with Lawrence Central's defense in their win yesterday. A good group of juniors comes in vs. Crown Point to find a team that's intent on stretching the floor and getting paint touches to find shooters, primarily AJ Lux and Drew Adzia. Adzia will also be part of the group that gets the paint touches.
Luke McBride and Jake Parker are the main cogs for Norwell, and as LC stretched their defense out, they both were excellent beating the back end of their press. Norwell scored a lot in transition too. Norwell can also be methodical in hunting shots for these two.
It's two similarly coached teams, but Crown Point has more size.

12:45 PM Chesterton (7-0) vs. Noblesville (3-3)
Both Chesterton and Noblesville like to play fast, and each has the guards to drive the action. Noblesville effectively plays two PGs in EJ Smith and Aaron Fine, while Chesterton is pretty much run by Travis Grayson. Grayson is relentless getting downhill.
The wings are covered for both teams too. Tyler Parrish and Owen Guest for Chesterton. Preston Roberts and Cooper Bean for Noblesville. All four are excellent shooters off the catch. Roberts and Bean have shown the ability to score off the dribble. (Granted, only one view Chesterton once this year.).
Two things standout for Chesterton. First is sophomore Justin Sims. He's terrific around the paint, but he can also finish in transition. Generally, he can score off the dribble. Chesterton also has more depth than Noblesville, including a couple of shooters.

7:30 PM Carmel (7-2) vs. Anderson (5-1)
Anderson's win over Tech is a signature win, and while these aren't your father's Indians, they also aren't your son's Indians. (Not really sure how to play that analogy out.) Meaning, this is Anderson's best start since 2008-2009, and Anderson hasn't seen a semi-state in the class basketball era. There was a time when Carmel coming to the Wig Wam would've been Carmel's big chance to prove who they were, now that script is flipped...except no Wig Wam. (Sigh)
Anderson hasn't beaten Carmel since they resumed playing each other in 2016. Their last meeting before that, 2002. The series went back and forth for a few years, but before the mid-90's, Anderson was a major obstacle for Carmel. Basketball is good when Anderson (NCC schools in general) is a contender.
This year's Indians have some buzz to them. Ahmere Carson is putting up big stats, and in general they have the size to match Carmel's. They have pressed to create tempo and extra possessions. Good Carmel teams have turned a team's defense into their offense. Carmel was sloppy at the end of the Valparaiso game vs. their run&jump, so if that's an issue tonight, it could be a game long concern. If Carmel gets downhill (half court or full) and limits turnovers, they have positives numbers in the back end. Anderson likes to extend the court.
