With girls Sectionals owning the schedule this week, a vast majority of games are Thursday night and Saturday afternoon.  Please check with one of the schools should their girls team not make it to Sectional finals.  Sometimes, they push the boys' game back to the evening.

It's also a time on Saturday when you can see multiple games.  Saturday's preview will post tomorrow as we try to map possible ways to see multiple games.

Thursday, February 6

Hamilton Southeastern (11-5) at Franklin Central (10-5)

After a slow start, HSE has found their groove.  Winners of seven in a row, HSE travels to Franklin Central which has seen a fast start turn into mid-season struggles, but their win over Fishers over the weekend gets them going in the right direction.

      • Mabor Majak, 7'2" senior center
      • Vinny Buccilla, 6'2" junior point guard
      • Kole Hornbuckle, 6'4" senior forward

      • Mason Gonzalez, 6'1" junior guard
      • Jalen Hooks, 6'7" freshman forward

Lawrence North (16-1) at Carmel (11-4)

Battling through injuries, Carmel has taken what many (OK...me) saw as a transition year and turned it into a strong season heading down the home stretch.  It's these games, where it isn't just struggling with quickness but physicality, that has caused Carmel issues, especially late in games.

LN is, of course, one such team.  They haven't just looked to beat people.  They have looked to dominate teams, taking the disposition of their leader, Tony Perkins, who combines a bit of an physical chip on his shoulder to everything he tries on the court.

    • Lawrence North
      • Tony Perkins, 6'4" senior guard
      • DJ Hughes, 6'7" junior forward

After putting GCA out of the tournament three years in a row, Morristown has lost the last two, including a loss in the Regional last year.  GCA's record has been tested too, 3-0 vs 4A teams and a win over 3A Monrovia (13-3).
