The 6'4" wing is an outstanding shooter and improving with the ball in his hands. Warsaw's Jaxon Gould is equally potent, but he's battling with some injuries early in the year. Blackhawk relies heavily on their senior class, and while Chesterton does have a good group of seniors, Justin Sims and Tyler Parrish do most of the heavy lifting. Kanon Catchings is rounding into the player Purdue recruited, and he'll be up against a swarming and physical defense in Ben Davis. Brownsburg's defense is typically among the best and most physical in the state, so anticipate a lower scoring game. Brownsburg has weapons on offense, but other than Catchings and Diallo, they need to space. Brownsburg is patient enough and strong enough with the ball to find those shots. We come down to obvious tropes. If BD can speed up Brownsburg's guards and not let Catchings and Diallo beat them on the back end of it, they have a distinct advantage. Brownsburg will need to limit BD on the offensive glass and win the possession game from the 3PT line. Bonds tends to take the other team's best big, but he hasn't started every game and appears to be dealing with injuries. Orme has moved down low when necessary. Anticipate Huber drawing minutes tonight, and while he would normally be more than capable physically, Bidunga is a step above most bigs. Carmel struggled vs. Moline's Owen Freeman. Freeman had 26 points and 12 rebounds. He's Iowa bound, but for certain Carmel will not want Bidunga putting up those numbers. Bidunga is a good passer out of the post though, and Kokomo has good stationary shooters. Who Bidunga guards is another interesting angle. While he moves extremely well, Kokomo hasn't played anyone yet that moves as well as Carmel while still having all five guys on the floor as scoring options.
