7:30 PM Cathedral (12-4) vs. Arsenal Tech (15-2)

Sectional 10 rivals meet for the second of three possible meetings. Tech took the first meeting, jumping out to a first half 19 point lead. Cathedral stormed back but couldn't get over the hump.

Tech plays a high risk style of basketball, primarily Dayveon Turner and Reggie Bass, and as long as they can create extra possessions it works. Against TIndley in the semi-final game, they were able to create turnovers at the halfcourt line vs. their smaller guards, creating easy scoring opportunities. Turning Tayshawn Comer isn't a reliable gameplan, but the two freshmen guards will have to hold their, as to their credit, they've gotten important minutes the last few games.

It could come down to the offensive glass. Not just in terms of possessions, but Tech's guards leak out creating easy baskets. Antonio Lisenbee does most of the work up front for Tech, but the insertion of D'Faybiean Pittman into the rotation certainly impacted their win over Tindley. Cathedral certainly doesn't lack size in Jake Davis, Xavier Booker and even the length of Jaxon Edwards. Committing resources to transition defense would slow down the leaks.

Over/Under on Jake Davis charges taken: 3.5
