7:30 PM Brebeuf Jesuit (8-1) vs. Zionsville (8-1)

Size up front vs. size at the wing. How Zionsville matches up on Billy Smith will be a key. Of course Zionsville's size proves a challenge to any team, and Logan Imes is every bit the tough cover Smith is. Imes on Smith could be a thing. Edward Thomas could get an early call. Zionsville could also utilized a zone.

Starting 1-4, Warren Central has won their last four and is on the plus side of .500. They face LN on what is CJ Gunn's third game back, a welcome return. Warren still has guard play issues to answer too, and LN has a lot of pieces to throw at them in the backcourt.

Ryan Conwell will have his work cut out for him vs. Fishers. The Pike senior has made a strong case for the all-star team so far this year, but Fishers will really test him. The intriguing matchup will be is if freshma Jalen Haralson will guard Conwell. So far. Haralson has picked up tough defensive assignments this year, and while he may not be locking down older players, he has made it tough on them.

  • 7:30 PM Valparaiso (9-2) vs. Portage (9-1)

Lots of promised with Portage, starting with Kamari Slaughter, but they also rely heavily on three freshmen. They're 1-1 vs. Munster, so they have a signature win. If they get the Wellmans free from the 3pt line, they'll have a fighting chance. That will mean they're turning Valpo over.

Valpo isn't going to make anything easy, and they have a star of their own in Mason Jones. After a 7-0 start, Valpo has gone just 2-2.
    Valparaiso Vikings

7:30 PM Brownstown Central (8-1) vs. Jennings County (7-2)

Brownstown Central has already beaten Seymour, a 4A team having a good year. Seymour beat Jennings County. Brownstown is led by one of the top sophomores in the state, Jack Benter. This is as good of a Jennings County group there has been in awhile, and while they have plenty of experienced seniors and juniors, freshman Carter Kent is definitely one to watch. He brings a lot of scoring in off the bench.
    Brownstown Central Braves

  • Chace Coomer 6'3" shooting guard (2025)

  • Jennings County Panthers
  • Carter Kent 5'11" point guard (2025)
  • 7:30 PM Munster (7-2) vs. Kankakee Valley (7-2)

This is the best start KV has had since the 2000-2001 season, but it's really the 1998-1999 team who is benchmark for good KV teams in the last 30 years, the Jack Gabor team. While they are already 1-0 in confernce play, Munster will be their best test to date. Cam Webster is one of the better sophomore guards and Nick Miskash has a consistent force for them.

Munster is used to these kinds of starts, and they're still getting great production from Brandon Trilli. They will have to contend with KV's length.
    Munster Mustangs
  • Caden Atkins 5'9" point guard (2024)
  • Jermaine Coney 6'2" small forward (2024)
  • David Cundiff 6'2" point guard (2024)

  • Camden Webster 6'3" shooting guard (2024)
  • 7:30 PM North Central (6-2) vs. Ben Davis (6-2)

Ben Davis started the season narrowly 0-2, and they have since reeled off six straight wins. They're balanced group with great play from Sharpe, Butler and Windham, and they have size up front in Daughty, Faires and Arnold.

North Central relies heavily on Joey Brown for offensive production. Much of the rest is based on turning defense into offense and finding second chance points despite their lack of size. This North Central scraps and flies around.
    North Central Panthers

  • 7:30 PM Oak Hill (6-2) vs. Peru (9-0)

Back to back 9-0 starts, following an 8-1 start. That's been the last three years for Peru. Matt Ross has been a big part of those starts, and sophomores Matt Roettger and Alex Ross are adding to that mix.

Oak Hill gets a great deal of production from Landon Biegel and Caleb Krull. Biegel is one of the top shooters in the state, but he's add a lot to his game this year.

  • Peru Tigers
  • Matt Roettger 6'2" shooting guard (2024)
  • Alex Ross 6'2" small forward (2024)
  • Gavin Eldridge 5'11" point guard (2025)
