They are a prohibitive favorite to win county, but their path has been the hardest to this point and continues to be for them to win. 6:00pm - Lawrence North (11-0) vs. Pike (8-4) Lawrence North DJ Hughes, 6'7" senior forwardShamar Avance, 6'2" senior guardCJ Gunn, 6'5" junior guard Pike Ryan Conwell, 6'2" junior guardJJ Louden, 6'4" junior guardEddie Jones, 6'5" senior forwardDevon Woods, 5'10" sophomore guard 7:30pm - Ben Davis (5-6) vs. Warren Central (6-4) Warren Central seems to have gotten the ship going in the right direction, winning four of their last five, while Ben Davis ended their four game losing streak leading into this week. In their defense, their early season schedules have been brutal, but these are the types of games they'll have to in March...and this weekend. More of the same. Madison (8-2) at New Albany (7-3) The best game in SE Indiana on this night. Madison has been in this spot the last two years, feasting on the first part of their schedule, only to struggle in late January and February. The latter part of their schedule is tougher, and this is the first of a brutal five game stretch. Madison Luke Miller, 6'2" senior guardLuke Ommen, 6'1" senior guardKaden Oliver, 6'1" sophomore guardNick Center, 6'4" senior forwardJackson Falconberry, 6'5" junior forward New Albany Kaden Stanton, 5'11" junior guardTucker Biven, 6'0" junior guardJordan Thomas, 6'7" senior forward Loogootee (9-2) at Barr-Reeve (10-2) The Battle of Buggies! To be blunt, these two schools are the face of small school basketball in Southern Indiana, especially in the Southwestern Indiana. 22 years of class basketball. Loogootee has 7 sectional titles, 4 regional, 2 semi-state. Barr-Reeve 10 sectional titles, 7 regional and 7 semi-state titles. Basically, the winner of their sectional typically owns it all the way through March. Good news, they have the offensive fire power to have a fighter's chance. Bad news, Homestead has more. Snider is going to have to buckle down defensively. Both teams like to play fast, and that just let's Goode and Loyer have more space. Homestead Luke Goode, 6'6" senior guardFletcher Loyer, 6'4" junior guardAndrew Leeper, 6'5" junior forwardGrant Simmons, 6'4" senior forward Fort Wayne Snider Karson Jenkins, 6'1" junior guardAiden Lambert, 6'2" junior guardTyler Harding, 6'2" junior guard Valparaiso (7-2) at Michigan City (8-1) Valpo has the size. Michigan City has the quicks. Scoring 30 on Gary West, Hodges will have another chance to show he can finish among the trees. Valpo has a promising sophomore as well in Jones.
