Cathedral (2-0) at Brebeuf (1-0)

It's been 19 years since Brebeuf beat Cathedral.  19.  In that 2001 season Brebeuf won twice, including the sectional final.  There will be no shame if Cathedral makes it an even 20, but this is the first time in a long while Brebeuf has had two players as good as Evan Altman and Billy Smith, for whom basketball is their sport.

Cathedral, which will still be missing a couple of players to football, have their own star power in Tayshawn Comer, Vincent Brady and Pete Moe, and the underrated Jaxson Edwards.  On paper they bring in a lot of depth, even without the football players.

Keep in mind the largest point spread in this series under coaches Jason Delaney and Todd Howard have been 9 points.  Tonight's game should live up to that. - jr

Evansville Reitz (0-0) at Vincennes Lincoln (0-0)

Despite the reclassification of Khristian Lander to the 2020 class, Reitz returns enough talent to emerge out of Evansville come March, namely Owen Dease.  The senior forward must bring it every game now, but with Shippert and the Higgs brothers, they should have more ball movement.  With Reitz, it seems to come to can their defensive scheme create the tempo they want. - jr

South Bend St. Joseph (0-0) at South Bend Adams (1-0)

In a game loaded with senior talent and a Notre Dame commit, this one will boil down to outside shooting. Who knocks down the big shots? Also, Adams has a knack for turning teams over with their pressure D. Look for them to do this tonight too.  - zt

South Bend Riley (2-0) at Mishawaka Marian (1-0)

We know what Blake Wesley can do but he can't do it all himself. He looks to avenge a big loss last season to Marian, now with the help of transfer Isaiah Robinson. Marian has a tough young core that can beat you in a lot of ways. The key will be how Riley handles Marian's zone, and if Marian can control the pace. - zt
