7:30 PM Brebeuf Jesuit (2-0) vs. Cathedral (2-0)

Last year, Cathedral jumped to an early 19-2 lead, likely one of Cathedral's better shooting performances of the season. On paper Cathedral has more weapons, but Brebeuf will have the best shot maker on the floor, in Billy Smith. The ideal would be Cathedral in a man defense with Jaxson Edwards, one of the best defenders in the state, guarding Smith.

  • 7:30 PM Zionsville (2-0) vs. Westfield (1-0)

It's the best guard in the senior class vs. the best guard in the junior class. Braden Smith has more help this year, but if there has been a bug-a-boo for Smith and his teammates, it's been teams with length and/or size. Zionsville has plenty of size. Cam Haffner is certainly a shot maker for the Shamrocks, but it's the improvement Alex Romack that gives Westfield additional options.

Zionsville answers Smith with Logan Imes. The junior point guard performed great in late game situations in their first two games, and he's found a nice ball screen partner in Isaiah Davis. Zionsville will need more out of Nick Richart than what they've gotten thus far. Given their first two opponents, it's understandable that his scoring numbers might off to a slow start, but his rebounding numbers are low for a player of his caliber regardless of the opponent.
