Noblesville Tournament

The two day event features some tournament prep for March, as each team will have one day with two games. The losers in the first round will come back tomorrow night for consolation bracket games, while the winners go into a bracket that will give them two games on Saturday.

11:00am - Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (5-1) vs Chesterton (7-0)

  • Thought FWBC is 3-0 vs. 4A teams, two are down this year, and Culver Academy played without its top player Trey Galloway.  In their loss to Silver Creek, Caleb Furst was tremendous on both ends, and Zane Burke impressed, but they didn't have much when all three stars were rolling for Silver Creek.  Chesterton has bodies to throw at Furst, and they have the perimeter shooting to put a lot of pressure on Furst in the middle, especially with Jake Wadding soaking up a lot of defensive attention.
    • Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian
      • Caleb Furst, 6'9" junior center
      • Zane Burke, 6'2" junior guard
      • Marcus Davidson, 6'0" junior guard
    • Chesterton
      • Jake Wadding, 6'5" senior forward

    • Evan Wilson, 6'2" junior guard
    • Brendon FIsher, 6'0" senior guard
    • Jordan Gadis, 6'0" senior guard

4:15pm - Columbus North (6-1) vs New Albany (4-2)

  • After an impressive June, which doesn't always mean much, Columbus North has followed it up with a successful start to the 2019-2020 season.  Blake Barker and Nicholas Schiavello carry most of the load, but they get balance support behind them as five other players score between 5-8 points per game.  New Albany returns to Hamilton County after winning on the road at Carmel last weekend, and their inside presence, Trey Hourigan, is playing as expected.  They've been without his classmate, Julien Hunter with an injury, but two sophomore guards Tucker Biven and Kaden Stanton have stepped up.
    • Columbus North
      • Blake Barker, 6'2" junior guard
      • Nicholas Schiavello, 6'4" senior forward
      • Reese Harmon, 5'11" junior guard

Hall of Fame Classic in New Castle

11:00am - Silver Creek (7-0) vs Heritage Hills (5-1)

  • A preview of what could certainly be a Regional matchup, and individual matchups will be a key.  Vs. Blackhawk Christian at the Tip Off Classic at Southport, Silver Creek's Trey Kaufman struggled vs Caleb Furst, and while he's a logical matchup to Heritage Hills' Blake Sisley, Kooper Jacobi slowed Furst down in the second half and put four of his fouls onto him.  Sisley and Kaufman both bring an impressive range of skill sets, but the best performance of the day in Southport was by Jacobi.
    • Silver Creek
      • Trey Kaufman, 6'8" junior forward
      • Kooper Jacobi, 6'5" junior guard
      • Brandon Northern, 6'0" sophomore guard
    • Heritage Hills
      • Blake Sisley, 6'8" junior forward
      • Murray Becher, 6'4" senior forward
      • Simon Scherry, 6'1" senior point guard

12:45pm - Lawrence Central (5-1) vs Lafayette Jeff (7-0)

  • This will be Lafayette Jeff's first true challenge.  They have a mixture of defenses that caused issues in their Lafayette area tournament to start the season, but they have yet to face the athleticism and length (and overall talent) of Lawrence Central.
    • Lawrence Central
      • DeAndre Davis, 6'6" senior guard
      • Nijel Pack, 5'11" senior guard
      • DeAnte Davis, 6'6" sophomore forward
    • Lafayette Jefferson
      • Braxton Barnhizer, 6'3" senior guard
      • Brooks Barnhizer, 6'6" junior guard
      • Avery Beaver, 6'2" senior guard
      • Ashton Beaver, 6'1" junior guard

6:00pm - Consolation game

7:45pm - Championship game
